Franchise IMPT is the official territory-licensing programme for IMPT, the carbon-neutral hotel booking platform. Territory owners earn 50% of every dollar IMPT makes in their country, for life. There is no upfront fee.
IMPT takes ~13% commission on hotel bookings. 50% of that (~6.5% of GMV) flows to the territory owner. Plus 50% across seven other revenue streams: B2B carbon contracts, Shop, widget volume, per-stay carbon fees, regional bulk carbon, open-source overrides, and sub-territory sales.
No. Zero. The IMPT franchise model has no application fee, no initial-fee, no annual licence fee, no royalty on your non-IMPT business, no marketing levy, no capex requirement, no minimum-volume penalty, and no exit fee. The only economics are the lifetime revenue share.
Three years initially, with automatic renewal unless either party gives 12 months' written notice. Many of our early territory partnerships are now in their fourth year with the same operator.
All 50 countries listed at /franchise-opportunity/ are currently open for territory enquiries. Some have provisional master franchisees in discussion — we'll tell you on the call. New countries can be opened on request.
Sign local hotels into the IMPT co-brand programme. Pitch local corporate-travel buyers on the Scope-3 reporting credential. Run local marketing (paid ads, PR, tourism-board partnerships). Manage local customer-facing relationships. Optionally sell sub-territory stakes within your country.
Every confirmed booking on IMPT triggers a smart-contract call on Ethereum mainnet that retires 1 tonne of UN-verified CO₂. The retirement transaction is permanently recorded against the booking ID. A corporate buyer reporting Scope 3 emissions under CSRD or the GHG Protocol can independently verify the retirement on-chain — it's not a marketing claim, it's a cryptographic receipt.
Correct — a typical hotel stay is around 35-40 kg CO₂. IMPT retires 28× that, deliberately. This is designed to cover the broader travel footprint (some portion of the guest's transport, the supply chain behind the property, the residual emissions of the hotel's own operation) without making over-claims. The retirement is funded entirely from IMPT's commission, not the guest's bill.
IMPT has a token (IMPT.io) used for staking and loyalty mechanics — it is one part of the platform. The franchise opportunity itself settles in USD or local currency by default. Territory owners can optionally take token-staking exposure (8% APY × 2yr yield) but it is not required. The on-chain piece that matters to franchisees is the per-booking CO₂ retirement receipt, which is independent of the token.
Yes. Tourism boards are one of the highest-leverage partnerships available — they typically have direct relationships with their country's hotel inventory and they need evidence-grade ESG signals for inbound corporate-tourism marketing. Many of our master franchisees lead with a tourism-board partnership.
Traditional hospitality franchises charge $25-150K upfront per property, 4-6% royalty on revenue, 1-4% marketing levies, and require strict property-standard compliance. IMPT charges nothing upfront and takes a commission only on bookings IMPT actually generates — and 50% of that commission flows to you. Detailed comparisons at /compare/.
Yes — the IMPT network is a distribution + CO₂-credential layer, not a hotel brand. A Marriott / Hilton / Choice / Wyndham property can simultaneously list on IMPT as a 'Carbon-Neutral Stays' co-brand member without violating their main-brand agreement (provided the main brand stays visually primary). Many of our co-brand members are simultaneous major-brand franchisees.
IMPT settles monthly on the 15th of the following month. Settlement is in USD by default (or your local currency on request). You get a detailed report — every booking, every contract, every credit retirement — with the on-chain transaction hash for the CO₂ retirement against each booking ID.
Pre-loaded supplier-feed inventory (the IMPT platform already covers ~1.7M hotels), brand assets (logo, badge, ESG-narrative copy), founder-direct partnership channel, quarterly business review, introductions to other territory owners, and legal framework templates for sub-territory sales.
Submit the franchise enquiry form anyway. Most discussions start without a perfect template match — we can open new countries on request, and many partnerships start as 'we want to explore this market together' rather than 'I have a complete plan'.
